Glenn Gabie was brought up on Gospel music listening to the Blackwood Brothers, The Statesmen Quartet, The Stamps, and many more. During his time in the ministry and working for Rex Humbard and the Cathedral Of Tomorrow he became more immersed in Gospel music. The Cathedrals with George Younce and Glen Payne became very dear to Glenn. It has always been a desire of his heart to hold good Gospel sings in the Ottawa area, even outside of Ottawa. The Gaithers have always been favourites of Glenn and his wife Mary, and it was during a time when they were watching a Gaither Homecoming video that the Lord spoke to Glenn about fulfilling this desire to hold Gospel concerts.

Thus, Gospel Sings Canada was born. There was no name or website, in fact nothing but the direction from the Lord. Glenn had been out of the Gospel music scene for many years and had to start all over again. With the Lord’s direction and guidance many important people have become an integral part of making this a successful endeavour.

Our desire and purpose in holding these concerts is two-fold. We want Christians to be entertained by good Gospel music, but we also want these concerts to give back to the Lord the praise and worship that is due Him. It is important that when you come to a Gospel Sings Canada concert, you leave knowing that you have experienced the presence of God and that you have been touched in a very special way.

To this end to give Him glory.
